all kinds of naughty
March 27th 2020 marked the 20th anniversary of Ian Dury’s untimely death from colorectal cancer. In commemoration the Thames Group of Artists has produced a mixed-media exhibition entitled ALL KINDS OF NAUGHTY.
Inspired by the songs and lyrics of the great man and named after an unrecorded Dury lyric, the exhibition will include a collection of work including paintings, photography, ceramics, sculpture, millinery and live performance.
The Thames Group is also delighted to announce that the 'All Kinds of Naughty' exhibition will also include work by some notable guest artists including, Sophy Dury, Rod Melvin, Kosmo Vinyl, Humphrey Ocean RA and Sir Peter Blake.
In these uncertain and very worrying times, the 'All Kinds of Naughty' exhibition has, like many other public events, been badly hit by the Coronavirus pandemic with the postponement of shows at the Stash Gallery and Gallery 286 in London.
We are however hoping that a reduced show of just giclee prints of the work will still go ahead at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch (April 15 - May 2)
At this moment in time the full show is still planned to be at the Lilford Gallery, Canterbury (June 11 - 25) at Dont Walk Walk Gallery, Deal (June 27 - July 12), and at the Beecroft Gallery, Southend-on-Sea where it will be part of the Estuary 2020 festival (August 29 - October 3)
